Bucks Knocks Out Hunger is a community-driven hunger fighting project that unites thousands of donors, advocates, and volunteers to fight hunger in Bucks County. It is a fundraiser for Bucks County’s food pantries, a chance to advocate for those who are hungry and food insecure, and an opportunity to volunteer to provide food to people in need.

When you donate to United Way’s Bucks Knocks Out Hunger campaign, you help fight hunger in every corner of Bucks County. Your money makes a meaningful and immediate impact, providing healthy meals and fresh produce to Bucks County’s most vulnerable residents.

7.3% of residents and 8.7% of all children in Bucks County are food insecure. That means over 45,000 people in Bucks County can’t be sure where their next meal is coming from. We believe that in a community like ours, no child should go to bed hungry. No family should have to choose between food on the table and a roof over their heads. No older adult should have to skip meals so that they can afford medication. BKO Hunger changes everything for people in need.

You can make a big impact on hunger and food-insecurity by donating to Bucks Knocks Out Hunger. When you do, you help fight hunger in every corner of Bucks County. Your donation helps us pack 100,000 nutritious, shelf-stable meals, which are distributed to food pantries right away. It also provides additional foods to pantries—things they need but are not often donated. We supply things like eggs, shelf-stable, dairy, and fresh fruits and vegetables.

If you want to combat hunger all across Bucks County, Bucks Knocks Out Hunger is just what you’re looking for. This initiative fights hunger in Doylestown, Quakertown, Bristol – and every other community in Bucks County. Our meals are available to every food pantry and senior center, from Reigelsville to Bristol.

Our goal for 2023 is to raise at least $110,000 to help people in Bucks County. If we reach our goal, we can provide meals to thousands of struggling individuals and families.

There’s no limit!  Some people give a one-time gift, while others make a monthly contribution. Besides helping out your local food pantry and hungry families in the area, your donation can be counted as a tax deductible donation in Bucks County, PA.

Food is such a basic need. When people are hungry, they often can’t focus on anything else. By helping us provide good, solid meals, you help people move beyond their worry about feeding themselves and their families so they can focus on bigger goals.

Yes! The meals we make at Bucks Knocks Out Hunger are specially designed to be both healthy and shelf-stable. All meals are formulated in collaboration with The Iowa State University’s Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. They are low in fat and high in protein, iron, and other vitamins and minerals.

Providing essential hunger relief in Bucks County is an ongoing mission, and together with your support, we are devoted to nourishing our neighbors with accessible, healthy, and nutrient-rich help with food.

Bucks Knocks Out Hunger is our biggest annual event, but we fight hunger and food-insecurity every day. Through food drives, produce delivery to seniors, and our Fresh Connect program, we’re getting healthy foods to thousand of people who need them the most.
