United Ways throughout Pennsylvania are committed to lifting up ALICE through community programs and advocacy.
At United Way of Bucks County, we are committed to supporting ALICE. March has officially been declared ALICE Awareness Month in Bucks County.
MEET ALICE
About 27% of Bucks County is ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). Overwhelmingly our front-line workers, ALICE is above the poverty line, but often struggles to cover the cost of basic needs. ALICE earns too much to qualify for assistance from most programs – yet there is no room in ALICE’s budget for emergencies. That’s why many ALICE families are just one unexpected bill away from a financial crisis that could permanently impact their family.
