Our HELP Center serves people county-wide. It looks and feels like a retail store, full of brand new essential items like furniture, home goods, toiletries, food, and more. But unlike a retail store, everything at the HELP Center is free to those in need.

DONATE HOME GOODS, TOILETRIES & MORE TO THOSE IN NEED IN BUCKS COUNTY

The HELP Center – a Healthy Eating and Living Partnership – is a collaboration between three nonprofit agencies: Bucks County Opportunity Council, St. Mary Medical Center, and United Way of Bucks County. Penn Community Bank provides generous support for the project.

Located in Bristol, HELP is an 8,000 square foot warehouse, distribution center, and “shop” for our gifts in-kind program (formerly “The Shed”). With a commercial loading dock and expansive storage capability, the center allows UW Bucks to accept large corporate donations— full tractor trailer loads – of home goods and consumables.

Beginning in April 2020, we received and distributed truckloads of pandemic support from companies like Colgate-Palmolive, Kimberly-Clark, and Cora. Local retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond regularly donate a range of brand-new items, all of which reach the people who need them most.

Our partners use the space for food storage and distribution through food pantries and weekend backpack programs.

Each month, hundreds of new people “shop” with us for the things they need. For families struggling financially, it is a game changer.

At the HELP center in Bucks County, we are empowering our community with compassion at the heart of our donation efforts. We welcome any new home goods with one goal in mind; unite our community through sharing, love for one another, and compassionate volunteer efforts that are making a difference with every single donation and act of generosity.

Many individuals and families across Bucks County are still recovering from recent job losses, unexpected medical expenses, and have to choose between paying their bills or buying essentials like food or kitchen supplies. Essential donations are needed now more than ever, so if you’re wondering where to donate home goods of any kind, we hope our accessible location in Bucks County is the first and last stop for all of your charitable giving this year! 

Even small donations make a huge impact in our Bucks County community. We need uncommonly donated items, and with plenty of shelf space to spare, there’s no charitable donation beyond the scope of our community support center! You can donate diapers, donate toiletries, donate cleaning supplies, and donate new household goods of any kind at our accessible drop-off location with helpful volunteers ready to assist.  

When comparing the best places where to donate home goods, United Way in Bucks County is one of the most accessible locations in the area. We reach hundreds of residents in need every day, and when you partner with us to donate new household goods, you can expect that every donation will end up in the hands of those who need it most.

We are extremely thankful for the generous partners and community members that actively donate to keep our shelves full and our community’s needs met. Even with outstanding local business partnerships that regularly donate entire truckloads of supplies, we are always in need of new inventory to keep up with the increasing community demand. Your support is graciously appreciated, and if you can donate in any way possible, we are always in search of uncommonly donated items like: 

  • Donate Diapers: These expensive essentials support single mothers, low-income families, and promote improved hygiene and safety for the children in our community.
  • Donate Toiletries: Valuables like toothpaste, floss, and cleansing products reduce preventable medical expenses and improve our community’s health from the foundation. 
  • Donate Cleaning Supplies: These often overlooked supplies help our community members maintain a safe, tidy, and balanced living environment.
