Transportation is one of the biggest barriers to self-sufficiency.

In Bucks County, not having access to a reliable vehicle is a barrier to gaining and maintaining employment. Unfortunately, the cost of purchasing a car is often too high for ALICE (Asset Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed) families. LIFT United helps these households by providing a path to safe, reliable transportation – and a successful future.

Learn to Invest in Your Future and Thrive

United Way of Bucks County is piloting LIFT United, a program that helps working families remain financially stable now and in the future. Program participants have the opportunity to build their financial skills, improve their credit scores, and either purchase reliable used cars or refinance their current car loans into new, lower-interest loans.

LIFT United is a collaboration between United Way of Bucks County, Penn Community Bank, the County of Bucks, and Credit Counseling Center.
